Ladies Hacking Night at VIVO - October 13th & 15th, 7-10pm

Do you identify as female and are you interested in learning more about electronics but don’t know where to start? Or, do you have more electronics experience and want to meet ladies that are also hacking?

VIVO Media Arts Centre is hosting our first ever Ladies Hacking Night at VIVO, which includes 2 drop-in sessions to build Atari Punk Consoles, with the option of performing with your new creation on November 7th. There are limited kits available, so please register in advance if you’d like to build one. Link to Eventbrite here..

This event is part of a series of circuit bending-related events, screening and exhibitions at VIVO. Learn more about that by following this link.

Bella McKee is a musician, composer, teacher, artist, and aerialist from Vancouver. She is a member of VETO (Vancouver Experimental Theremin Orchestra) and works for a local engineering company manufacturing electric bicycle conversion kits. When she’s not flying high in the sky, or playing with her band, she is in her bedroom recording music and messing around with synthesizers and other electronics.

If you’d like to come out and meet like-minded people, you’re welcome to drop in and say hi and learn more.

Also - I’m still interested in partnering with VHS from this, if anyone from the space wants to come out and chat about the awesomeness that is hackspace.
