How to learn more about timing belt?

I’m looking to build a belt drive linear actuator, similar to that seen in kossel printers.

I have motors and gearboxes that can handle 500N of power, and I need belts that will also handle that much strain? tension? I’ve been trying to absorb this belt document

and I’m still not getting what I’m looking for. Who do I talk to that’s already grok’d this, please?

Thanks!

Here is the design manual for Gates latest and greatest transmission belts. They have other design manuals for legacy and timing belt products as well.
