Do we need all these silly-scopes?

I got my own scope, I will see you there too

I am also planning to attend. I am hoping to have a small pwm servo controller cct ready by then to hook up to a scope

I will also stop by!

I’m going to have to miss this, which is a huge bummer, I was very much looking forward to this event.

Have fun everyone!

Running a little late, I’ll be there shortly past 8. I’m bringing my scope.

Great workshop!

Lots of people got a good grounding on how Oscilloscopes work.

Big thanks to Farrell!

Had to leave the workshop early, but not before I learnt how to use the scopes. Thanks @toptekkie!

Hello

Are we done with these scopes, May I give them away (no monies)? or would someone like to try and sell them?. I would prefer to just give them away and get them out of the space.

Any objection to giving them away ?

Should we not keep at least one small silly scope? Ruin our imagine if we don’t

Sounds good, I will leave one.
@Jarrett is fundraising for a good scope here

I can’t tell if this is a wildly inappropriate offer … but I would happily buy a mostly functional analog scope. Perhaps if you get to the point of giving these things away, let me know?

Perhaps if there is something related I can offer in trade … like cataloging that heap of gear?

Oh yes the Hackery was asking about one. Anything better then a 10mhz. Little horse trading perhaps?

What do you think about donating the scopes to other hacker/maker spaces?

I took four of the ones that are marked “DEAD PSU”, “DEAD”, “NOT WORKING”, “:(” . I can return the dead ones if needed. There are three more at the space that are not marked or have a sticker that says they are working. I did not test any of the scopes.

[/quote] I don’t know if any of them work, but donations/recycling are better then the trash.

Better then the trash, I am not sure what other hacker/maker space would even want them.

yo @FVMakersJason ^

Our last scope gave up the ghost (on it’s own). The power supply packed it in but it was so old we didn’t bother fixing it. We’re still graciously accepting tool donations any person or organization would like to give us, so if you have anything (tools, monitors, components, materials, etc) we’d be happy to take them!
