My friend is looking for a VHS for car needs. Anyone know if there’s a place he can go to that is either a cooperative car shop, or a rental shop?

Not sure but I do know members have done car stuff in the loading bay on weekends. Not sure if that helps your friend, but it’s good to know that is a possibility. Of course we don’t have a lot of car-related tools…but for simple things, the loading bay might be an option.
How acceptable would it be to put a car on jacks for 3-4 hours on a weekend? I haven’t used the loading bay all that much. He has all the tools he needs but just needs space. No fluids involved.
IMO that’d be fine as long as it was not left in the bay overnight and that his whole car fit in with the bay door shut. (for the sake of building security)
