Best vacuum cleaner?

HI all,

Funny question but I figure there is a good cross section of folks here.

Old vacuum cleaner is kaput, need a new one for a carpeted apartment with a fair amount of clutter.

What brand do you use and enjoy? Any suggestions?

I have hardwood floors so I don’t have a vacuum. My parents purcahsed one of these two years ago and have been very happy with it http://www.dysoncanada.ca/ ofcourse they are still paying for it as they are not cheap in any sense of the word.

I have a Miele vacuum. Bought is because it was made in Germany, had a good reputation and reviews, etc. I don’t love it and wouldn’t buy that brand again. My partner won a vacuum from Safeway which has turned out to be amazing, especially on carpets. It is a Eureka bagless upright vac. At retail it’s much less expensive than a Miele and does a great job on carpets.

I also have a neato (robot vac) which does a good jobs of cleaning up when I don’t have time to use the upright.

Thanks for the info, Janet.

Any idea what model of Eureka?

Not wanting to spend upwards of $500 on a Miele or Dyson, I started looking at “commercial” vacuums and eventually bought this one about six months ago. It sucks - I am very happy with it

Dont buy anything from Samsung, oddly very junky.

Why don’t Buddhists vacuum under the sofa?

Because they have no attachments.
