Bench lighting suggestion

I showed a few people the COB lighting.

It was clear that 2 smaller lights per bench are required. So the cost per bench would be about
2 x $6 for 30W LED
$2 for electrical cord cut up and connected to the LEDs
$1 for misc heat sink compound and screw nails.
$2 electrical switch

estimated cost would $10 per bench.
This solution is NOT dimmable.

How much would a LED strip solution cost?

Two lights per bench at $6/ea, estimated $10/bench?

Would this require two electrical outlets per bench? Sometimes outlets can be scarce.

Would the two lights be individually switchable? If so, you’d have a minimal amount of dimming control at least.

oops what was i thinking

2x6 + 2 + 1 + 2 = $17 per bench

the idea is to plug the lights so it only would take 1 plug per row

still seems like the LEDs I proposed are less expensive. but the difference is not much, and there’s a total of 12? 14? benches. for a $2 diff we’re talking less than $50 difference. Not worth my time to argue it. get the lights you want

I am fine with your solution Dan.

I was just providing an alternative.

Can you provide your LED strip parts list?
I will post a comparison. And we can take a quick poll and go with it.
